Eight members of the hiking group escaped smoke in the valley and found clear blue skies at Fourmile Lake on August 21, 2015. They hiked six miles round trip through a forest of lodgepole pines and huckleberry bushes. Highlights were picnicking at beautiful Squaw Lake, hiking to the PCT, and observing the mossy trees near another small lake.
