Lots of families out for some fun before the first day of school filled Lava Lanes with lots of happy sounds on Labor Day when our group visited. The 10 person bowling group had 5 people on each of two lanes beacuse of the very full house. As usual, we all had a fun time and had a wide range of scores. Viki Brown had the high score of the day with a 132 and there were many games in the 100’s. We were all on the edges of our seats at the end of the first game when Eve Haddock started the 10th frame with 2 strikes. We were hoping for a turkey, but it wasn’t meant to be. Eve had a total of 4 strikes in two games which is an accomplishment. The group is considering a new meeting time of the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 11 am. Games are $2 each on that day from 11 am-2 pm and we could also grab lunch at the great little restaurant there. Thanks to Lori Miles for coordinating and to all of the bowlers who turned out to share some time together. Stay tuned on the new date and time.
